1) express your gratitude to him for his help during your college years,
2) tell him about your job and the work environment, and
3) invite him to visit you if possible.

Dear Zhang Wei,
I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude for your assistance during my college years.
Firstly, I want to thank you for being a supportive friend. You always offered me advice and encouragement when I was facing difficulties. Your help was invaluable to me, and I truly appreciate it.
Now, I have started working at a foreign company, where I am exposed to a diverse and dynamic work environment. The colleagues are friendly and helpful, and I am enjoying my job very much. I believe that this experience will contribute significantly to my personal and professional growth.
I would love to invite you to visit me if you have the opportunity. It would be great to catch up and share our experiences. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you plan to come.
