I am writing to express my concern about the increasing pollution problem in our city. In recent years, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of our environment, which has not only affected our health but also tarnished the beauty of our city.
Firstly, the air pollution has become a major concern. With the rapid development of industry and transportation, the number of vehicles on the road has surged, leading to a substantial increase in carbon emissions. Secondly, water pollution is also a pressing issue. Many factories and restaurants in our city have been found to discharge untreated wastewater into the rivers and lakes, which has severely impacted the aquatic life and made the water undrinkable for many communities.
Lastly, the excessive use of plastic bags has contributed to soil pollution. These bags are often left on the streets, littering our environment and taking hundreds of years to decompose.
To address these problems, I believe several measures should be taken. Firstly, the government should enforce stricter regulations on industrial emissions and promote the use of clean energy. Secondly, the public should be educated on the importance of conserving water and disposing of waste properly. Lastly, we should encourage the use of reusable bags and promote recycling programs.
I hope that by raising awareness and implementing these solutions, we can restore the beauty and health of our city for future generations.
